Man it really gets on my nerves when people think that as Jehovah's witnesses that we are a cult. It makes no sense! Everything we learn comes from Jehovah's word. Foolish statements like "The JWs say such and such". We do say these things from our own opinion; rather, we bear witness to what is said in the Bible.
So we come to this: Jehovah's day was prophesied to come at its appointed time. This is stated early in the bible. We hear promises told to Abraham that the nations of the world would benefit from his seed,
Later, thousands of years pass, and the seed comes! It is Jesus! The master worker, the only begotten son of God, arrives. He lovingly gives us more clues about this coming day. He gave us composite signs. These things would have to occur together in such a way that it would be unprecedented! All of the signs must occur at the same time.
Jesus even gave clues as to how to find his people in that day. They should have love and unity, as such does not exist anywhere on Earth.
There really is no time for us to dabble in this or that. Preparing a bucket list makes no sense when you listen carefully to what the bible states about our future. People run after many things which bring only temporary happiness, and once that happiness is felt, it leaves a person feeling empty, with a need for something more.
The signs are here! These are tribulation-filled times! Is it the great tribulation? We will learn this in the future.
I will say this: this world has become even worse than when I grew up about 30 years ago. My mother made the same statement in the 90s. I can only imagine her surprise when we tell her how things have become even worse!
Many dramas feature graphic violence, sexual scenes so explicit they would have been sued in the 1980's and 1990's.
Drug use has now produced a global problem that makes the 1990s look nice!
Fentanyl is cheap, very powerful, and is globally available. Police officers all over the United States deal with saving overdose patients.
