Yogita's PC upgrades

We were gaming the other night when Yogi noticed that her game was lagging. This was odd as I was not and we are on the same network. This made it easy to figure out something was not right about her pc. I then listened and I heard a strange noise coming from her gpus fans. Then I noticed that one fan was spinning very slowly due to a builld up of dust. Fortunately the other fan was spinning at normal speeds. So I cleaned the fan and the heat heat sink below it. However, I had to clean it again and I noticed that the lubricant in the fan bearing was drying out. However, I could not remove the cooling shroud so that I could get at the fan motors. I think once our move is done I will take one more crack at it. If I fail to remove that screw then I will have to dump the entire GPU, or figure some other way to salvage the card. 

So right now my back up white pc which George is using I want to replace it something more compact  powerful but not expensive. Maybe I will get Yogita a totally new rig early spring. My own rig I will just upgrade storage and replace case fans.My system is so nice especially for the uses we have for it. The old black pc I really want to overclock it and put a water coolor on the cpu. These are all minor things. I want more storage as I can place large amounts of good tv shows on it. If we are in India we might have download caps. So being able to have a very large library of movies and tv shows is a nice option to have.

Teaching my goodness

It is a shame that so many people today are so arrogant and full of themselves. I met my future possible employers and I was shocked by the arrogance that not only teachers show, but also employers. The result is that you have teachers leaving left and right. Then you have people on both sides of the equation spreading falsehoods about one another. The result? A loss of peace. My employer told me that "I can not sleep well". My current employer has told me the same thing time and time again. English teachers I meet are not feeling stable or happy. Many of them are quick to complain to each other about others. What a loss of peace! 

Teaching a language as in teaching anything requires humility. When you have a failing result, for example, students who study for years can not make basic sentences, yet they can ace grammar tests, there must be a problem. You have to sit down and make some changes. 

The main issue with ESL today is that it is based on making a good profit financially. As such there will always be issues. Every industry on Earth suffers from this issue. This short-term viewpoint is to make as much money as you can. Money today isn't even based on precious metals anymore. It is based on people's faith in the current system of things, which is very close to ending. What a waste of time. The Bible tells of a time when people will be resurrected and they will require education. Which means the ability to teach will be very important. I think of the teachers in the bible. They were not arrogant. They were all humble, meek, and slow to anger. We need to follow Jesus's example.

A very cold day.

Today is perhaps the coldest the day of this year. It is odd as it is still Fall. Winter is not for another month. We bought heated jackets that are battery powered. These things are amazing. It is so nice as not only does it have heating, it has wnd blocking as well. The inner lining has heat reflection built in so it helps to keep body heat and the generated heat from the vest contained in a hot air bubble under your clothes. I have multiple batteries to power these jackets. I am thinking about getting 2 more, perhaps 3 more. But I need more battery packs. 

This weekend I will meet with another academy owner. Maybe we will stay in South Korea, or maybe we will not. For me the result of the meeting will tell me if we will "dump" or prepare to move to another accomadation. We will see what will happen. We will be prepping week after week till we have to move.

A move date finally

So finally we have date for our move. Now the stress is really on my boss and his wife to find cheap housing. It seems to me that they just bided thier time while not being constantly on the look for cheaper housing. Yogita might have found a nice option in area she works at. That location is still the heart of education sector in Iksan. There are hundreds of academies in that area. 

So we will prepare for the move at a steady pace. I want to find a storage warehouse so as to help us with items that I do not want in the car, or clogging up our new location. Likely, it will not be very large so space management will be very important. It will be very nice to know that so and so item is in storage. Then the next day we can head over there and get what we need. It is time to cut down on needless items. In the warehouse I can basically hire someone to throw away unwanted items. 

I hope the location that Yogita told me about pans out. I might be changing my work location as well. There are many things up in the air. For example I might work part time here, while filling the other slots with privates. That senario comes with one condition from my side. That is they can not just add a class hour outside of the part time block. I WILL NOT accept that. If I do that I would have to rearrange private more profitable classes (less stressful too), while still bieng "partime". 

Also it gives me time for more spiritual pursuits. Like attending meetings, participating in the preaching work, activities that we are told to be doing today! 

So lets see what will come to pass. Who knows Jehovahs day might come before the move! Jesus tells us not to be overly concerned with the concerns of each day. The kew word is overly concerned, this leads to stress and so many other issues. We need to worry but not too much. I think the keyis make a plan. do not be lazy, pray for help and then work towards what you prayed about. For us it is move to another place in a easy non stressful way. So we will make a plan follow it up, and ask for help via prayer. I have found that we are successful when we do this. When we have moved the movers are always shocked by how few things we have. Ok time to get this work part of the day started.

Staying active

Yesterday I had a wonderful walk with my wife. We walked about 6.3kms. It felt normal. Yet two years ago we could not have done that with out multiple breaks. I feel more energized the mornings and early evenings. These days I am getting up earlier than before. I usually wake up at around 11 am and I can not go back to sleep. Due to our work schedule and home activities we got to bed late. Usually, around 4 or even 6am. Yogita sleeps soundly yet she is ready to walk again the next evening. During our walks we talk about things that are important to us. 

So we stay active burning calories and keeping fit or rather getting into better shape. Years ago I let my self go so to speak and my wieght went up to 107 kg. Last, check up it was down to 99kg. That was over two years ago. So next year we will see what my progress has been. 

I mght go back to gym with my wife. I want to build strong muscles, and improve my cardiovascular health. This is so important seeing as though we are not benifiting yet from Jehovah's healing which will be coming soon in the future. Ok time to get this work part of the day started.

Time to ourselves

I have been staying away from other people in the local neighborhood. I am much happier than when I was. When we would wake on Sunday we would have to review to see what went wrong the night before. We had to do this EVERY time we met up with others. Or if we hung out with others we would go through the same process. I find that people tend to be very self-centered and selfish. If fact, we met a couple of people from the community just about 5 weeks ago or so. I left that interaction feeling annoyed. Feeling as if we had to focus on another person's issues even if the said situation had nothing to do with us.

Why spend time with such ones? What does such an association do to build each other up? Nothing! People are unreasonable, prone to argue, and belittle one another, while at the same time saying "we are friends". Huh? How is that true friendship? 

Often times when we meet others we get invited to other functions that tend to lock us into social interactions that can span weeks. We go out only to get invited to another event. Yet the mood at that event is the same largely negative. Or rather a seemingly positive atmosphere with negative undertones. The end result? We wake up the next day discussing events and finding areas where we did things that I am sure Jehovah and Jesus would not approve of. Then this nonsense because it spans weeks at a time we become engrossed in those negative social interactions. This is not to say that we will not go to those places we enjoy. However, we will not associate with them. It is just not healthy. I just canceled one of my weekend classes due to a disrespectful student and by proxy a disrespectful parent. The result? More time I will have for my family. We had a simple time and Yogi and I saw Black Panther 2 and enjoyed it a lot. Now, we are still relaxing at home fully charged for Monday.

Another foodie post Grilled Pork!

As I look at myself I realize that I spend a lot of time with family. One thing we enjoy is to eat! My wife and I have a date night once a week. Depending on our budget in the past we would choose various places. At that time price was a big factor the reasons why well that is another story. 

Now we enjoy all kinds of places to eat at. We then become regular costomers. There is a place that we were introduced to two years ago. That meeting was under strange circumstances. Once again a story for another time. But, we could not really enjoy the food as the company we were with caused us stress.

We would walk past this restaurant many times, but we never went inside. Well we did two weeks ago. WOW! This place is a grilled pork restaurant. Lets see some images

This is a spicy savory dip. I will be returning next as this week I have an appointment with a friend who owns and runs a local fried chicken restaurant.

There will be food shortages...

 Another sign that the bible is not mere stories. The scale of food shortages here on Earth is unprecedented. The scale and the global scope. In the past, it would be regional shortages. At times many of these shortages could be blamed on weather patterns. Or war here or there. Today? There is war EVERYWHERE. Every continent is engaged in a warlike activity that robs people of a sense of peace and security. In the United States of America, I grew up hearing gunshots. I grew up to news reports of drive-by shootings. It became so commonplace to hear such warlike news yet not attribute the reports to actual after-action reports that are filed after military action. I studied the bible without being able to clearly see. I did not rely on Jehovah. I can see that clearly now. Mexico and many South American regions have warfare over the control of drugs. The middle east also has after warzones Yemen, and Syria come to mind. In, Africa it was stated by one report that the war going on in Ethiopia is a conflict that is larger than the one we are all glued to in Ukraine. 

Then there are different types of wars. Economic wars all have the same result food shortages! Yes, just like wars fought with guns and explosive shells, economic wars deprive regions of needed war. The United States of America is guilty of this. Waging an economic war with China hurts everyone who is not among top 2% of worlds weathy. Instead, many across the USA have lost jobs, many of them also go hungry as they lose homes and end up homeless. Yes, in the so called most powerfuly and richest country on Earth many people go to bed hungry. I was blessed in that I had parents of them one was God fearing provided us with what we needed. 

Here in South Korea poverty and food shortages are harder to see. However, recenly there was a flood and it was exposed that there are people living in underground apartments. These also suffer from being in poverty. 

Right now grain exports from Ukraine and being blockaded by Russia, while Russian grain being sanctioned by most of the world. This is effecting 25% of global wheat production and distribution. The main buyers of this grain? African Nations! So yes bible prophecy is being fullfilled right in front of our eyes!

There will be reports of wars...

Jesus fortold that there would many who doubt the bible. In fact in those days many doubted and feared the words he spoke. 

Jesus's followers asked him a question anyone following him would ask. Namely, when would his kingdom come. Jesus knowing humans would need information given with a parable in order to fully understand and get the true sense of his words. He stated that the signs would be so obivous it would be like knowing the seasons by seeing the olives growing in the right season. In South Korea we know spring is here due to the cherry blossoms blooming. 

Likewise Jesus gave some things we can look for all happening at the same time. That is I think a very important part of what Jesus is saying. When we think of Spring we know that there are many things that happen together during that season. Likewise, when people say "Oh there have always been wars". Are not seeing the point. Along with these other signs, "reports of wars" occurs today!

In fact with social media platforms there are in fact many reports of wars. Today we are all shown news and reports of the war in Ukraine. Yet, another major conflict in Africa where over 1 million soliders on both sides are fighting gets very few "reports". Lets be frank most people are just not interested in African conclicts. Yet, it still shows that what Jesus fortold is in fact taking place before our eyes. 

We do well to heed the words of Jesus since Jehovah himself told us to listen to him. So I read these reports and it only strengthens my faith in the things I can not see, in past events I was not an eye witness of. As I pray I can "feel" more. That is another topic for another day though.

The Mark of the Wild Beast

In 2020 covid finally reached the shores of South Korea. We were watching from afar as it wrecked havok in parts of the United States, Europe, and China (although the govenment lied about it is numbers of infected and those who have died).

We had just started our regular bible studies and began drawing closer to Jehovah by doing this. 

Well this raised an issue as large pharmaceutical companies rushed to get a vaccine to combat this virus.

We wrongly thought that this was the mark of the beast. It was not until we studied Revelation the final book in Jehovah's holy bible that we got a better understanding. We used the bible based research articles to get a better understanding of what this mark is. 

This mark indicates active support of this system of things which is led by the wild beast. People who vote, and with spoken words, and actions support the world governments they have this mark. They do not write "belonging to Jehovah" on thier hands. They do not bemoan this world in the sense of understanding that man made governments, and scheming is the solution to the worlds problems. I have heard people complaining about issues in this system of things too many of them point to democracy, or some form a socalistic government to be the answer. 

I once had a heated arguement with a friend concerning politics. His arguement was that I as a good person should actively turn to politics in order to aid black Americans. He grew angry when I stated that I was neutral. I grew angry and told him that I am waiting on Jehovah's kingdom as that is the only goverment that end the problems on Earth. I became too angry, and fortunately I listened to my Yogi and we left that place and went home. I am sure he has told others what I said. I am say it again ad again. MAN DOES NOT have the right to rule. Satan's courtcase is riddled with failure, death, suffering, the wanton practice of living in sin! He has failed and he knows it which is why he is raging like an angry lion!

I understand now that I do not have this mark. I understand that there will be a time in which the lives of those who lack this mark or show support to this world will have difficulty in "buying" and "selling". It has already happened in many places already! Africa comes to mind with unstable states demanding people get a goverment party card. China with it's comunist party membership granted many benifits to those get this "mark".

In America I am sure there are some benifits of being a card carrying Democrat or Replublican. Perhaps they get more access to credit than those who are not a member a political party. I will do some research on this matter. It is marvelous to see bible prophecy coming true right before my very eyes. At the same time it angers me that people I thought where "lamb like" are in fact supporters of this worlds governments and proudly have the mark of the beast! So, I will not break bread with these ones. I must stay away from them. I must watch what I say and do. I must make sure that I am placing the mark "belonging to Jehovah" on my hand, or on my forhead!

My wife of 22 years.

This week will mark our 22nd year of marriage. I can say this: I want more years with my wife Yogita. I want enternity with her. This is possible and a hope is there for this. But why do I want to spend my entire life with Yogita?

For years I was always wondering what my wife would be like. Imagine my surprise when I saw her in the classroom at Ewha Womans University in the Korean language class. WOW she was and is stunning in her beauty. Her eyes have this soft brown color. The windows to her soul. She is so sensitive. I still remembe the moment she realized she loved me. She asked me "Do you believe in Jesus and Jehovah?". Now, realize at that moment she was wanting to bond with me, to become one flesh. 

Our story was not a happy one due to my mistakes. Yet, my beautiful brown girl stayed and prayed for us and for me. I feel so happy studying the bible with my wife and sons. I enjoy walking with her, eating with her, laughing, crying ... lets just say with her I feel more complete. As she is my flesh. I hate this worlds view on marriage. It makes a mockery of what Jehovah willed. Open marriages, getting a divorce with out consulting Gods word. People thinking in a selfish way not realizing that marriage is a bond built on LOVE, and with Jehovah! It is discribed in the bible as being a 3 ply rope that is not easily broken. I feel if we stay with our God our marital bond will be invincible! 

Ah! To my wife I say this: I love you more than you know! My heart sings when I see you! I want to travel the stars with you and have more than 2 million children with you. See you soon brown girl!

 These Days, These Days........

These days, we've been keeping a regular Bible study and exercise schedule....we've been trying to work hard to not be the one's who just want to get their ears tickled but the one's who listen and heed the words....who apply the wisdom in their daily lives and live by it....Jesus is the ONLY role model we should be following...not the idols and Bling of our times.....it's all fake...a deception... a waste of time....a BIG distraction..... Jemal and I have decided that we will NOT be hanging out with certain individuals.....it's not only a waste of our time but also a drain on our resources....not to mention a threat to our peace.... attacks, and temptations come in many forms and they are not always negative...if that were the case they will be too easy to notice...to pinpoint and hence too easy to avoid....the serpent is shrewd...his attacks and temptations are subtle....deceptively harmless...so let's heed the multiple warnings we are given in the Bible. 1peter 5:8 tells us to be wary because our adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone. We should remember Jesus' words in Luke22:46. Jesus tells us to keep praying so that we do not enter into temptation.

Let's be wise not because we are going by our own understanding but because we are listening to the Greatest man who ever walked the Earth, for He Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life {John14:6}

May we find true peace and happiness in Jehovah's love and be free through Jesus' ransom sacrifice.

Camping is in the air

Spending time with family and those who share the same faith you do is far better than spending time with a large group of "friends". I have spend so much time with a large group of "friends" only to see them fight an argue amongst themselves about politics, or the various isms of today. If you are true friends then you will be of the same mind, and respect each other if you are not. You will have a sense of peace when around them. 

We will go camping this holiday weekend. I was looking forward to spending quality time with my family. Especially, our sons. I want to talk to them and listen to them. I want to talk about our creator with them. I want to keep instilling in them a sense of urgency that we are indeed living in the end times. I aim build not only thier faith but my wife and my own by speaking about our God Jehovah.

However, a friend will bring a child from another family who is under attack (we all are) and they are dealing with a stressful situation with another child of thiers. So let me clarify our friend and her husband (another one I consider a friend) will not bring their kids, but another couples child. However, this couple they have two children one has made bad choices and they are dealing with that one. The younger son will be coming to spend some hours with us with our friends. Our friends also have kids but they will not come with them to the campsite. Wow, that sounds confusing. 

I think they should focus on thier own children. Oh, well we will see what happens. I will not stop from my own goal. 

I want my sons to realize that we do not know Jehovah's plan but this sense of urgency needs to be about us at all times. Even when we are having a good time, or a relaxing laidback time. It needs to be in the back of our minds. As the bible states the end of this system is coming like a thief in the middle of the night.

A difference time can make

I grew up in a household that had two parents. However, it felt like there was only one. Parents need to be a part of thier childrens lives. I ignored mine much to my own peril and thiers. You see the bible tells fathers to be guiding and teaching them about Jehovah. This means they should be learning about God, and Jesus. They should be learning about the great court case we are all involved in. 

Instead for years I did not do this. Thankfully for about a year and 10 monthes we have been studying Jehovahs word. We have been studying materials on the jw.org website. The recent convention was so wonderful for us. It taught us to seek and persue peace. In addition we should maintain that peace. It taught us how to avoid peace wreckers. 

This has brought profound peace to my house. However, we have a greater sense of urgency. Bible prophecy has been being fullfilled since 1914. There has been such a degradation in worldwide morals since that time. Today, nudity (in a sexual sense), pornography, fornication, homosexuality, abusing food, drugs, and so many other evils have become the norm! 

We do not know Jehovah's time table to bring out an end of this system of things. I can feel it getting close those. What an amazing time to be alive. Tonight we will study Isa 35 and 36. It will be upbuilding and a weekly reminder for us! Stay on the watch!

Live the day for tomorrow we will die...

Actually I had another post in mind today but this one is more on point. You see this attitude has been a live and kicking for thousands of years. Even today we feel this way. Some say things like "I want a good retirement". Others repeat the words above simply in the way that they live their lives. I have one friend who does not have faith in the things that I do. I got out of meeting him one week, yet the next week he keeps hounding us to hang out with him. 

Todays daily scripture hits this issue right on the head. People who live a life saving treasures on Earth realize that they "ought to enjoy the moment". Why? Well, as we age and time seems to fly by so quickly. They do not have a hope in everlasting life here on Earth. They laugh at the notion that this might be even possible. The bible calls these ones "scoffers". 

This is an area I need to work hard on. Paul when quoting the bible mentioned that we need to be careful. Associating with the wrong group can lead to the "practicing of sin". Right away this removes us from Jehovah's favor, his peace, and puts us at odds with him. Sin creates a barrier between us and Jehovah. That barrier is bridged through Jesus, yet we can not be practicing sin! Woah, I feel so relieved to read these words. I feel driven to make sure we do not make the same mistake again! 

The thought of living for the moment means we waste our lives. We waste our time thinking that the only best days of the week are the weekend! So instead of improving ourselves by reading God's word and readjusting ourselves. Instead of telling others about the goodnews of the Kingdom, People live lives that run counting Friday night, and Saturday night as days of note. Days were we can enjoy ourselves "eating and drinking for tomorrow we will die!" What a wrong way of viewing life! 

We have been in situations recently where gross sin was being practiced in the bathroom attached to the singing room we were in. If I keep spending time with these ones I will end up "practicing sin too!" No thanks so I will cancel the plans I made. I will let them know I am not available. 

Likely, I will explain at a later date the real reason why.

Good Fun for couples.

  I have been married for over 22 years. We will celebrate our 22nd anniversary on October 13th. One thing I have learned is that as a couple the best fun we can have with each other. No other persons. For example, when I was younger I would think if we are going to have a dinner out with drinks we should invite "other" people. This led to a loss of peace between my wife and I. When we would meet many of these people would want to talk about politics. Other's would try to get between us. Still others had major issues with anger management, or drinking problems. Those problems then became our issues. What a loss of peace.

During 2021 there was a strict curfew where we had to get indoors by 12am. Most restaurants closed at 10 or 11pm. Our solution Love Motels!

Many couples use these places as Korean homes are small and getting adequate privacy is difficult.

Of course prostitutes, and those engaging in illicit relations use these places as well. Also it should be noted that families use these places during big holidays. 

I will post pictures of place that we go to. We use it as a extension of our home and to have some private time together. 

The room are equipped with two gaming computers, a 40 inch tv that is connected to one of the gaming pcs. There is a large bed, a small table, along with a small couch. The bathrooms a tub and are clean. 

So what we do? We enjoy ordering food. Then the real fun begins for us. We start talking about our day, and things that are on our mind. Usually, topics from our bible study, and recent news events. We also make plans and discuss older plans. We just hang out together. I plan to spend more time  doing this. I do not want to meet with people in the community so often like I did before. It did not yield good results. We feel that as the time is drawing nearer to Jehovah's day we need to focus on spiritual things. Not things of this system of things.. When we meet with people in the community they often discuss politics. They are in full support of this world. Not the one that is coming. They call it the "the great reset".

Also when we go to these places we bring our game files in usb thumb drives. Our entire game has been installed on it. So we just plug it in and load up our game. We are playing Archeage these days.

I dreamt another dream..

Every time I close my eyes I dream. I am a lucid dreamer. I can interact within my dreams. This can be exciting. But then I get dreams that I call The Dream. These are unusual dreams. They almost seem prophetic like someone is telling what things will occur. Yogita gets these dreams too. For her they point out the way in which she (and myself) should walk. As soon as she has such a dream she is quick to tell me about it. Even interupting my sleep to tell me. I value this. The messages she has been getting have all be very helpful. Not scary or strange. But rather reinforcing bible principles. Showing her (and by proxy me) what we are doing wrong. 

I had a dream this afternoon. Let me relate it for future reference. Our son George might want to use this information in his writings. 

I was in some place outside of our home. I want to say it was a park as Yogita and I spend a lot of time in parks. Well as we were in this park I felt relaxed. Suddenly, I heard a voice in my hear say "Go home to the inner room of you house!". I was shocked! I looked at Yogita and well she had heard the same command. Immediately we headed home. We told our boys what we had heard. I went over to the window and looked at the sky. I saw that the moon was red. A deep red color. Not like the red moons we have been seeing recently. I told the boys go into the other inner room. They wanted to follow me but wanted to be with Yogita for a short while. I felt that I would get another signal to call them into the room with us. We were talking for a short while and in my heart I felt that I should call the boys into the room Yogita and I. I called them in and we sat on the floor. 

At that moment suddenly we were wisked high into the air! I could see apartment below us. Then higher we were pulled! And even higher! It looked like we were at an altitude where the satilites orbit the Earth. However, it was not cold. In fact it was warm and comfortable. I felt doubt in my heart and stated something along the lines that I was worried. A man nearby looked at me and said "We are going to be ok, at least we are not down there!". I looked down and yes I could feel that being on the surface of the Earth was not a place I wanted to be. In fact I felt safe up in the air. Suddenly 

I was in another place. This area seemed to be like a waiting room. People were sitting about, and the mood was very relaxed. Unlike court waiting rooms in this system of things. Yes, this place looked like a court! I was warned that there were rules. I remember a man whispering in my ear "To stay seated and if I didn't listen three times I would be expelled." Well there was no way I would break any rules in this court. 

I was then ushered into another room. This room was the court! 

At rear of the room there was a raised desk and two very kind hearted people were sitting there. They were speaking in low tones with people one on one. There were no lawyers. I have to admit I felt some trepitdation. I am a sinnful man. I have made mistakes. I have faith in Jesus's ransom sacrifice but I am still weak. I am learning more to be happy to aware of my spiritual need. Well, with this feeling in my heart I looked at one of the judges. She looked to be of South Asian descent, while the other judge looked to be of African descent. What struck me was how kind they looked. The female judge looked at me and gave me such a kind reassuring smile. Everything would be alright. I just needed to be ready to listen, ready to accept readjustment. Fear melted away from me and I woke up close to tears. In fact that day Tuesday of this week I felt loved by Jehovah and Jesus Christ. I should note that as I looked at the judges I remarked "Ah! they are of the annointed, members of the 144000!". What loving, meriful persons to be judging us! Thank you Jehovah!

Chinese Food!

Yogita and I really do enjoy eating food together and with our boys. As we enjoy food we find the scene changes with regards to popular cusine. For example years ago grilled meat was king. Then grilled duck places. Eel became very popular then it became too expensive. Many restaurants closed as a result of this. 

Today, Chinese food is becoming more and more popular. Ma-la-tang is problaly the most popular of all. My wife, boys and I really enjoy Chinese food. 

I will look at 3 dishes that really make our stomachs happy! 

This is a dry version of Ma-la-tang. Spicy, fragrant, and topped off with a nutty dipping sauce it is awesome. I enjoy veggies more than meat with this dish!

This is a stir fry with lamb, and various veggies. Those peppers are spicy but not too overwhelming.
 I am sure we can make this at home with some really nice firey peppers.

This last dish is egg plant deep fried then cooked in a delicous savory sauce with wonderful pepper based oil. I hated egg pant when I was young. Now, thanks to Yogita I love this veggie! This dish the egg plant is so nice as it absorbs all of the flavor of the spices, and peppers.

I will make another post about what is perhaps my favorite Chinese dish, and another which Yogita I enjoy eating from time to time. 

Last week was truly a wonderful time!

Holildays are arround the corner..

This is always an odd tme of the year. Middle school students are having mid term tests in a couple of weeks. There are two weeks with holidays in October. In the past we would closely examine if the holidays fell on a weekend. If it did we would not get any week days off. Well the central goverment found out that this practice slowed spending. 

Now we will get a weekday off which leads to more families heading out and well spending money. Actually, it is not just families but singles, couples, and groups of friends and families usually take advantage of the time off. Just go any popular place to relax like camping sites, resorts, beach front areas and others. You will see large numbers of people gathering.

We are learning a valuable lesson. If we want to keep and maintain our peace we should associate with those who love, respect, and want to imitate Jesus Christ, and Jehovah God.. We do not do this if we are constantly spending time and "rubbing" shoulders with those who put faith not in Jehovah but in this world. 

In the past we would just do our own thing. It was me who would go over and "rub shoulders" with them. This took our peace away. I was a root cause of many conflicts with my wife because I was spending time not with those whose faith is in the living God.  I was spending time wth those ready to debate, argue, even fight for them. I know we can not avoid them, but we need to make an effort to not "rub shoulders" with them.

Cleaning your PC

    Yesterday while gaming Yogita's pc again started to heat up. Well, 10 minutes later she was back up and running. The main culprit is dust. I need a compressed air blower to clear the dust out of the CPU heat spreader. The dust gets in between the fins on the spreader (the fins allow for increased surface area for cooling). When this happens the cooling effect of the fans is reduced. However, the dust can build up to a degree that the fan blades come into contact with the soft dust lowering the RPMs of the fans and leading to even less efficient cooling. 

    I saw the same thing on both of our graphic card cooling fans. I am going to have to do some maintenance on the GPUs as well. It is enjoyable to me to keep older systems running well. Then upgrade 7 to 8 years later. We are getting close to that point of needing some minor upgrades. Mainly, cooling upgrades. I want to install a water cooler on Yogita's CPU, then overclock it a bit.

Ok, soon dinner will come. Our bible study took a bit of a long time to get started because of my shower.

War might be winding down...another sign?

So in the Ukraine thier troops have broken through Russian lines. Ukrianian forces have noted that the Russians are dropping weapons and equipment and fleeing. Likely this will continue. Indian and Chinese troops have pulled back from thier northen borders. There was a lot the tension there some monthes ago. 

The bible states that in the last days that mankind would state they have achieved peace and security on Earth. The bible then states that sudden distuction will be brought upon them. It seems that things are heading in that direction. Another thing stated in the bible is that people call out to goverments and big banks to save them. Yet these would fail. The world stock market is set to crash, yet again. The global economy is in free fall, despite governments saying that this situation is temporary. In fact for over 20 years my bas salary has not gone up way it should "normally". Instead, I work extra hours to make up for the short fall. My  wife works full time as well. If fact many families seem to be doing well. However, the reality is that we are all teetering on the edge of a cliff if we put our faith in this world. 

The Korean won is loosing value against the global reserve currency the US dollar. When I arrived in South Korea 20 years ago the extange rate was 1135 won per US dollar. Today, it is 1390 won to 1 USD. So banks and governments have failed mankind. We are seeing the 24 aspects of the last days everyday! 

One of the horsemen mentioned in Revelations brings pestilence and disease to the Earth. Of course it does. Mankind was told to "spread out and be fruitful". What did we do? We collected by the thousands to tens of millions in cities. We have had an unprecendented spread of disease since 1914. Starting with the Spanish flu. Some I have seen: AIDS, SARS, MERS, AVIAN FLU, H1N1, Ebola, Covid-19 and I am forgetting many others! Poli is showing up again as well. Bible prophecy is being fullfilled. People need to learn about the true nature of Jehovah God by reading about Jesus's life on Earth. If we have seen Jesus, we have seen Jehovah, Jesus told us this. 

I look forward to many things. The end of this system of things, the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ along with the 144000. But, I am preparing myself to make the right choice when Satan is released at the end of the 1000 year period of peace, and education!

Ok my work part of the day is almost over. I am looking forward to witnessing to my sons with my wife.

A Wednesday Thursday

Since we got our current car I have been able to get to my work place extra early. This reminds of Gunsan when I was the one opening the school most days. I would often have time to make post on this blog. 

As this is a short week with middle day of the week will feel odd towards the end of this work day. 

One thing that I have seen in my over 22 years of teaching experience, and working life is that people like to "stretch the truth". For example people that I meet in Gunsan who know my wife and I but are not close to us often tell us a more truthful account of thier time here in South Korea, and how many years they have spent teaching here. Actually, many of them do not see it as a badge of honor. Some are even embarrassed, feeling like they could not be successful "back home". 

I often tell these ones a job is a means to an end. If it helps you support yourself then keep supporting yourself. Others will view you as they want to view you. No matter what we say or do, others will still view us in the way they want to. We can not change that.

However, my boss comes to mind as the other group. The ones who look to the time spent working in South Korea as a badge of honor. Since I met him he has told me his school has been open for 11 years. However, after working here and signing my 4th contract they are celebrating the 10th year anniversary of running thier school. Huh? You see the truth has a way of always coming out. When I arrived likely they were in year 6. They had rapid success, opened two locations. They sold one location to another person and had a bad falling out. It split the community down to this day. Sometimes the simple truth is best. So many people that I meet have only been here for about 10 years max. Most seem to have arrived in and around 2010. Now, I was told an exaggeration. Usually, this is done to impress others. I know I have done it. Bragged about this and that. What a fool I was. So does it really matter? No! All those involved are doing well. They might not have peace with everyone from those days. However, trying to impress others I have learned, is sowing treasure in this world. This current system of things. It is said in the bible that those doing so will get their reward in full. They really do! When poeple say "waaahh", or "woooow"! My wife I and I were at a party and people were bragging about gifts they got from students. We get gifts ALL OF THE TIME.

We looked at each other and kept our mouths shut. I have learned striving to be humble, being mild, and kind feels so  much better. 

So my thoughts are to show off is a form of foolishness.

Typhoon coming today...

So it is a Monday even though this is a short week. We are going to hit by the edges of the storm system. Likely it will mean heavy rains and parital flooding in low lying areas. Our place is slightly elevated so placecs like Young-deung dong might get some parking lots might get flooded.In Gunsan one year many families lost cars due to flood damage. It is raining right now but it is not too heavy. Many schools have canceled classes, switching to online classes for tomorrow. We will see. I know that we will be coming into work tomorrow. I also think that we will be experience the full force of the storm over night. Tomorrow, might be very rainy, with some wind but the really nasty stuff is coming in several hours. 

We might go to Costco to pick up some food items. I saw some really nice steaks, sandwiches, and other items that we can enjoy. I am going to have the boys bring things related to thier hobbies.

So two short weeks are ahead of us workwise. I intend to enjoy time with our family and avoid meeting others for some time. We met some really strange people the other night. That is for another post though. 

But I want to post another picture of a Korean dish we enjoy! Perhaps I will on Wednesday. It is getting late today.

Our holiday!

    We had a very nice time this 3-day weekend. However, it could have gone a bit better than planned. First Yogita found a nice dog hotel in Gunsan. However, after we arrived they refused because Oskar is not neutered. Ok, fine Yogita then called other places which turned us down. Mainly due to our dog's size. Then I decided fine our boys and the dog can be taken back home. Yogita and I would then go and meet up in a nearby city to get some shopping done. 

OK, fine we headed out. As we were getting closer to that city Saejong city we got a message from my friend that Costco was closed! So we drove back to Gunsan and had a nice time there. I drove over 250 km. It was nice to just be back on the road. We recently purchased a second-hand car. I will post pictures and information about its capabilities in a later post.

We enjoyed our time together. We sang songs and even danced. I get the feeling that my friend just wants to be around people who he feels comfortable with. A stark contrast to him says 10 years ago. 

However, the next morning all I wanted to do was to get back to Iksan. We drove back and relaxed at home.

PC repair sometimes diy is king+

So months ago I am conducting a bible study. During the bible study, I hear an odd whirring that seems to be intermittent. Afterward, I ignore it and have a normal evening. However, these odd sounds keep getting more and more noticeable.

So I load up my diagnostic software and notice that the CPU is running a bit warm under load. I have a water-cooled CPU. This just should not be happening. So I realize that the sound is the fan slowing down due to lubrication burning out. Ok, fine I replaced the lubrication by spraying some wd40 like oil into the bearing of the motor.

It worked for serveral monthes. But a few weeks ago it started to make noise and slow down. Yesterday I noticed that the temps were just too hot! So, I used one of the case fans and swapped the bad cpu fan out. I was also able fix the issue I created when I unseated my RAM chips. I have 64 Gbs of DDR3 ram. However, I was only using about 32GBs because I had to remove RAM chips to get to the cpu fan during the first operation.  I was able to reseat all of the RAM chips so I am back at 64Gbs of RAM. Also my CPU is running cooler than when I purchased it second hand in 2018. I will buy a new 120 mm Fan and put that on my CPU Radiator.I love using water cooling. It is easier to manage. Air cooling means more cleaning of dust than water cooling. Less time maintaining my system is a major plus! So next time I will replace the CMOS battery and CPU radiator fan. It will take only 20 minutes.

64 GB of DDR3 RAM

GTX 1060 6GB I will be upgrading this more.

750 Watt branded PSU

The motherboard has two cooling fans on it.

2 TB of SSD (3 drives) I will be upgrading this more.

Korean food again!

Thursdays are special days for our family. We have a bible study shortly after coming home. Ok, sometimes its held 30 minutes or more later. However, I am going to institute a change and try to have our bible study much sonner.I will try to have our study tonight in about ten to twenty minutes after coming home. We will review the onvention or this year. I think we will ned two days of review until we resume our regular bible stuy. 

Now, after our study we usually order food! This is one of two highlights during the week after our bible studies. 

I am leaning towards ordring this!

This week maybe we will order Jokbal. In English this called pig trotters. Basically, it is the front portion of the rear or front legs of the big. It is so tasty. It is very juicy soft, and can get crunchy when you make a wrap with garlic, kimchi, and other side dishes. I really enjoy this dish. But it is fatty, and quite rich, so we do not eat it very often. 

I am in good spirits these days. I was able to get in a very nice walk with my Yogi yesterday. It was so nice to walk and talk about matters close to our hearts. I do not understand couples who say "We have nothing to talk about."

Today I have a special mission to plan out our menu, bible studies, exercise, and entertainment during our holiday next week.
