The Eagle And The Peacock
The eagle was bold and strong,
The peacock was pretty,
And they got along.
The eagle was free,
It wanted to fly high,
The peacock was fine,
To just stare at the sky.
Time flies,
The eagle and the peacock,
were tied together,
forever tethered.
The eagle rose to the skies,
The peacock looked up and cried.
It tried to fly,
But its wings were tied.
They were beautiful,
But meant for the ground,
The peacock couldn't fly,
Even if it tried.
The eagle, however, was unbound
So it soared high, and high.
And the peacock cried.
The eagle heard and replied,
Don't cry,
I'm by your side.
I'll stay here forever,
And Try!
