We are too far into this pandemic for us to be able to go back to normal. With governments talking about covid passports. A virus that now has different strains. People trying to back to normal activities and once they do this those areas experience a wave of new infections. You see unlike the Spanish flu (more like the United States flu) people went back to normal activities due to transportation not being as developed as it is today. Covid spread on ships, planes, buses, trains, private cars...you get the point. We did not have the same travel options as we did in 1918 to 1920.
Masks will be a thing now. Covid documents that show either a vaccination, or a negative test result will be needed. This will be our new normal for a long time to come.
We had a work meeting and covid is always somewhere on the agenda. If we make plans for anything this pandemic enters the conversation. Likely where I will be working next year will be largely dictated on covid. More people will be working from home. Youtubers are going to become even more famous as they produce more content than other broadcasting services.
So here it is a new normal that will last for some time. We all thought 2021 would bring us a big relief from this virus. This year as we enter the 5th month is THE SAME as last year.
So keep wearing your mask! (Maybe I will buy one of those fancy masks with patterns on it).
