Change!!!

so some kids in the academy have been missing classes last week...today we found out that they had some disagreement in the class so they decided to settle it outside the class....they brought knives and the whole nine yards...well, so today we have the parents coming to the academy shouting and creating a fuss accusing the school and the teacher for negligence...what a day! so much drama....

For me it's amazing because in Korea this kind of behavior among the students is not very common...Korea is CHANGING!!! Is it good or bad we will have to see about that....

Koreans in general do not like change...if something is different and they don't know how to deal with a situation because it's different their first reaction is to give up....it can be very annoying at times...but i was thinking about it how we cannot condemn people for doing something that's part of their culture. so instead, i tried to understand why they react the way they do...this is what i came up with:

Change is awkward -- at first...because Change is something that presses us out of our comfort zone. Change is for the better or for the worst, depending on how you view it. Change has a ripping effect on those who won’t let go. Being flexible is the key...just like a reed in the strong wind moves and bent with the wind or it breaks...we have to bent and lean and create a new balance within the change.

Change is uncomfortable -- at first...but people forget that it does not necessarily mean bad...change can teach us new things and show us new ways that we never knew existed...change is a reality...it is happening..it is here to stay...we can either sink or swim...

wow! i almost sound like Obama...LOL..i am becoming a philosopher....ENJOY!!!!

Yeah change is never easy. Just think about the transition from being single to being married. Then having children. Learning about how in the bible we are told to act in certain ways. Paul speaks of "putting on the new personality" does this not speak of CHANGE.

Thanks babe!
